Purl 1 WS row, purling all wrapped stitches and their respective wraps together.
In the next RS row, cast of all sts and AT THE SAME TIME knit all wrapped stitches and their wrap together.
Weave in all ends.

Applied i-cord

Note: To reduce the number of yarn ends to be woven in (and because I didn’t know how much yarn I would need for the i-cord), I used two new balls of yarn.
Using the double-pointed needles and a provisional cast-on of your choice, cast on 3 sts with yarn held double.
Start at one of the back corners and pick up and knit 1 st [4 sts].
* Slide sts to the other end of the needle, k2, k2 tbl, pick up and knit 1 st from the edge;
repeat from *.
Graft the last row and the sts from the provisional cast-on.
Weave in all ends.

To make up

Block the cape and carefully steam it (or cover it with damp cloths).
